FSport AB (publ) receives affiliate licence in New Jersey, plans North American product launch in Q1

The gaming and media platform company FSport AB (the ”Company”) announces that the Company has received an affiliate licence from the New Jersey Gaming Authority and that a cooperation agreement has been signed with the gaming operator PointsBet. The Company intends in the near future to launch an English language version of its gaming portal 1X2.se under a new brand, which will target the North American gaming market.

FSport expands its investment in new markets by establishing itself in the US, where a licence to conduct affiliate operations in the state of New Jersey has been granted by the Division of Gaming Enforcement. As a licensed affiliate, the Company can enter into commercial agreements with licensed gaming operators in New Jersey, one of the leading states in the rapidly growing regulated US gaming market. This is an important step in FSport’s expansion strategy to operate close to licensed markets.

FSport has at the same time signed a cooperation agreement with the gaming operator PointsBet for New Jersey, but also for the states of New York, Illinois and Iowa where PointsBet is licensed and no further affiliate licensing is required. The cooperation agreement means that the Company becomes a supplier of player traffic to the US gaming market under the licences held by PointsBet. FSport estimates that the agreement can generate future revenues through performance-based compensation from affiliate marketing, starting at the end of the first quarter of 2023. PointsBet was launched in 2019 and is one of the fastest growing operators in the US, with games on all four major US sports (MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL).

As part of this expansion into the US, the Company intends to launch a rebranded English-language version of its sports and betting portal 1X2.se in the first quarter of 2023, to capitalise on the opportunities offered by the rapidly growing North American gaming market.

The rapidly growing US gambling market is based on a high-profile decision by the US Supreme Court in 2018. The PASPA case gives each state for the first time the right to regulate the licensing of online gambling. The US is expected to become one of the largest legalised markets for online sports betting, and the fastest growing over the next 10 years.

”We are following our strategic direction and creating a presence in significant licensed markets. We are proud of the affiliate licence in New Jersey which opens up for cooperation with all licensed gaming operators in the state, such as BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars and Bally. Our long-term strategy also includes evaluating the possibilities of applying for affiliate licences in more American states where this is possible”, says Staffan Lindgren, CEO of FSport AB.
